MAX PERUTZ, Nobel Prize Winner 1962
ink & oil on canvas, 24″ x 18″

Original in the private collection of Susan & Prof. Robin Perutz, Leeds, England.
Print installed at the Max F. Perutz Laboratory, Vienna, Austria.

The painting shall be a tribute to a great scientist and also a source of inspiration for everybody who comes to work. I actually caught myself smiling when I looked at it this morning. If a painting can convey this emotional energy  – then a lot has been achieved.
—Alwin Köhler, Associate Professor, Max F. Perutz Laboratories, Vienna, Austria

FEE STRUCTURE for FAUX EFFECTS

The unique process featured on the Faux Effects & Trompe L’Oeil page was developed by the artist to simulate an authentic, eroded appearance. Reasonably priced between $1.00 and $3.50 per sq in, it can be applied to rolled or stretched canvas. Alternative surfaces are also a possibility.

FEE STRUCTURE for TROMPE L’OEIL

Trompe l’oeil mural prices are governed by substrate and scale. The details below were painted directly onto a bare, concrete, backyard wall for an ancient fresco appearance, almost an echo of what might have once been there. Delicately painted leaves are integrated with real foliage on the last detail. See the full image, a work in progress on the Faux Effects & Trompe L’Oeil page.
